Had mentioned, have mentioned, mentioned?

I am still willing to believe what had mentioned in the book is true.

I am confused that which may be more suitable in the situation?
"had mentioned"(Past Perfect Tense) or "have mentioned" (Present Perfect Tense) or "mentioned" (Past Tense)
