Had made promise

Can I say,

(A) Last week, Mrs Lim spent her holidays for three days. She gave her house keys to Mrs Lee. Mrs Lee promised to keep the keys safe. After she had made promise, she had responsibility to take care of (the keys). So she kept them in a safety box.

(B) She promised to take care of his house.
