Hi teachers
Today I'm going to ask about the verbs like "hope, wish, intend. expect"
My grammar book says that 'hope to have PP' and 'had hope to do' infer something that you wanted but did not achieved to get/ do it; for example
She hoped to have finished the work by 9 a.m.
= She had hoped to finish the work by 9 a.m.
Also, wish, intend and expect have the same function the book says.
Because there are (always) a number of errors in "any" English grammar books written by Korean,
I wonder this usage is correct and grammatical.
Many thanks in advance

"Want" is more like it.
