Had better not be

If you are being sarcastic and you tell someone after waiting 2 hours to take a shower because the person has been in the bathroom getting ready
You say
One had better not be in a hurry wh en you were in the bathroom.
Would that be natural and correct?

Thanks

That's a bit awkward. Try: It' a good thing nobody was in a hurry while you were in the bathroom. [ I "see" the French in your original, and it's just one of those constructions that doesn't translate well.
