Had been (past perfect progressive)

I've trying so hard to understand past perfect progressive, but upperently it's not sinking in.

I've been told that the following sentence is wrong and I don't know why.

"Wait a minute. I had been in this house before when I was five."

I really don't know what's wrong with this sentence.
