I never had been to this forum before January 2007.

As to slang, there is no need of following grammar rules but in formal writing you must do.

Are these sentences correct?

User_gary I never had been to this forum before January 2007. My personal preference would be to say "I had never been" ---not sure I can give you a logical reason. As to slang, there is no need of to follow ing grammar rules , but in formal writing you must do .

  • I believe BE might include the 'do' at the end, but we leave it out in AE Are these sentences correct?
