had a weird dream

I had a weird dream last night. My friend and I were catching fish with fishing nets in a lake. We had no catch except a turtle which my friend caught in his net.

Is it Ok and natural? If not, I would appreciate it if you could rephrase it.

The only thing we caught was a turtle, etc.
