Had

Hi,

"Moore was formerly married to actor Bruce Willis, with whom she had three daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah Belle." [From the BBC web site.]

Does the simple past "had" follow the verb "was" according to the tense-sequence rule or are the three daughters dead?

Thank you.
