Gullible vs credulous

What is the subtle difference between the words "gullible" and "credulous". Please share your thoughts and / or feelings.

There's not much difference but if forced to state some distinction between them I would say that 'gullible' is slightly more pejorative in connotation than 'credulous.' Of course no one wants to be either gullible or credulous.
