English in UK

Guliver's Travels

In my Literature Classes we have this reading. Could you tell me when usually young people read this book in Great Britain. What I mean is which grade so how old they are.
Did you like this book? And do you have any nice memories from your classes at school
Regards
Pawel
Please do not think I am mean or something.
