Gui: abbreviation or acronym?
Hi there
My Longman dictionary ( 2005 2xCD edition) claims that GUI is pronounced as acronym ( gooee ) in BrEng and abbreviation in AmEng.
I realize that things can change very quickly here ( tech talk ).
Anyway, can you please confirm that "gooee" is by far more common than "jee you eye" nowadays?
