grown with engines

Hello,

I would like to know if I can say:

Experienced team of engineers who have grown with engines. (or on engines ???)

Meaning they have a lot of experience in engines.

Thank you.

Hello, nataloa—and welcome to English Forums. I'm afraid that your metaphor is too stretched for me: it sounds quite odd, and I am glad that you explained it. In the first place, engines are very vague and general things that most any engineer has dealt with in his career, so the expression is hardly impressive, even after I have understood the meaning.
