grow versus build

Is "grow a company" correct or is "build a company" correct? Or, perhaps both are correct (or wrong). I see "grow" used often where it doesn't feel right, such as "grow the economy".

grow a company is being used more and more frequently. It's a relatively new use of the verb grow , as far as I know. build a company is also possible.

grow a company is being used more and more frequently. It's a relatively new use of the verb grow, as far as I know. build a company is also possible. Both are correct.
