Grout, spring

Hi,

1) Is the mixture you fill the gaps between tiles with called grout? Is the syringe that is sometimes used for that called a 'caulking gun'?

2) When a physiotherapist presses her hands down on your back to unblock you, your back should spring back once she releases her hands. I'm not sure if I'm making myself clear and if the word 'spring up' would be appropriate here.

Thank you.

Yes.

I had to research that word. It might be common in some varieties of English but in the UK, people generally talk of mastic guns or sealant guns
