Group-rates

Hello, guys!

Could you please tell me what's the meaning of group-rates (in relation to travels) and could you give me an example?

Thanks!

Generally, it is a discounted price from the full price paid by a single traveller if a certain number of people are travelling together. For example, a trip may cost $500 dollars if I signed up alone, but if I can get 9 other people to go, each person in a group of 10 pays only $450 each, for a discount of 10%
