Group or team activities can teach more important skills for life than those activities which are done alone. Do you agree or disagree?

Would team activities be more conducive to building up more necessary skills for life than solo activities? This statement has triggered a heated debate when it comes to the effectiveness of teamwork. My view is that both group activities and solo activities bring about equal benefits for people.

Admittedly, group activities boost general productivity and efficiency through cooperation and collaboration. When individuals work in groups, they not only make a concerted effort to work toward their team's goals but also sacrifice their own preferences to fulfill their team's requirements. If a person is too selfish to do by all means for his own benefit, they will be excluded from the groups. Therefore, members working in a team should put a priority on the team's mission and cooperate with teammates to assign the task efficiently according to key performance indicators and team members' strengths. Take a presentation activity as a prime example, who prepares a piece of equipment such as projectors, a printing machine, who is in charge of designing the PowerPoint, who are capable of presenting in the public. That is a testament to why team activities is an essential prerequisite to establishing necessary skills for life.

On the other hand, activities that are done alone could be prioritized in cases such as doing research, or working in laboratories. Indeed, such kind of activities need high concentration to work and the discussion can be a disturbance when they must stay focused on their tasks. Therefore, the silence can yield the desired results. Moreover, people can adjust their own pace to work or study properly and avoid conflict when discussing with other members. Also the noteworthy is that people can maximize their results when working alone as they have more opportunities to take full credit for their own goals.

In conclusion, I am of the opinion that both team activities and solo activities are equally beneficial for individuals to horn their valuable skills for their life and depend on the task specifications and requirements, people can work in a team or alone to achieve the best outcomes
