Ground/floor

Is there a difference between floor and ground?

We're in a casino. I say:

"Don't leave your purse on the floor/ground!" Which is correct?

We're walking on the streets. I say:

"Don't leave your drink on the ground/floor!" Which is correct?

Thanks!
