Is "4G25" the specification for the cable type?
Are you saying it does not include a ground wire (yellow/green), and one must be wrapped around it along the floor??

Do you really mean "should be grounded" or do you mean "must be grounded"? Same question for "should include".

Do you mean a cable that is yellow and green or do you mean a cable that can be either yellow or green?

Alur structure is truss in aluminium. Height of the truss from the floor is 4 m. Do you need a picture of it to clarify?

I think to be technically precise, it should be " we need to connect a cable labeled 4G25 from the machine C-30 to the junction box located at the storage room. This cable should have an external green wire with yellow stripes crimped on a spade lug at the end which must be secured to the electrical circuit ground"

What is not clear is that is the truss you referred to is tied to a real ground.

thank you for your reply, very interesting.

I believe you have dealt with these kind of matters so you have experience in this, could you please clarify some points?

1. why did you use "labeled" I had a look at this verb and I don´t think it is necessary to add it. ?
2. why "at the storage" and not "in the storage"?

The rest is clear.

The truss is made of 4 "legs"? (I am not sure I can say legs) that have a height from the floor 4 m. This is a type of square structure if you see it from the top. hmmmmm I am not sure I explained it well..... I´ll try to show you a picture so you can understand. we want to run the cables from the floor to the top of this truss.

Thanks Pam for the link. That's what I thought it would look like. But you mentioned Aluminum, that kind of confused me because Aluminum itself is a soft metal and has very low tensile or load strength. The color may look like aluminum but I am pretty sure it is "Aluminum Alloy" which is manufactured differently depending on the purposes. The kind used to build the trusses for staging purpose, like the one you shown me in the link is Magnesium Aluminum Alloy if I am not mistaken. The design of the trusses is pretty simple and universal. I have seen them in auto shows, large outdoor concerts and events. For the lighting and equipment cabling, I am pretty sure the technicians will run the cables and completes all the electrical connections first, test the circuit and perform a function check on the equipment before securing all the cables with Nylon tie wraps. I don't believe the trusses are electrically grounded.
