grok

"I'm not groking."

1. Does it mean "I don't get it; I don't understand it"?

2. Is 'grok' a newly created word?

3. Is it common?

Thanks,

I've never heard it before but a quick search comes up with some examples. but it doesn't seem that way from the examples found. Maybe a US word?

I've never heard it before but a quick search comes up with some examples. I wouldn't say it is common in the UK, unless it is some kind of 'youth' slang and I'm too old to have heard it anyway...but it doesn't seem that way from the examples found.

I'm sure it was also the swear word used by Conan the Barbarian!
