Both indicate a destination of movement. 'into' is used when the destination is an enclosure of some kind - things that have an inside.

You go to Rome, to London, to France, to the movies, and so on. These are not enclosures.

We generally use in to talk about the position of things- where they are; and into to talk about directions and destinations- where things are going

E.g:

- A moment later the ball was in the goal.

The ball rolled slowly into the goal( NOT rolled slowly in the goal)

- She was walking in the garden.

Then she walk

So what i understood: we use into when we want to express about things that entering inside closed places like banks, box, houses ........... etc.

example 1: those girls are going into that restaurant.

example 2: our house devided into 3 parts. ''am i alright?''

other question, can i used to rather than into, i mean can i use to in the closed
