Grit, initial edge, final hone.

Does grit here is some kind of a stone? and is that different from the second sentence that again mention "2-6000 grit belts"? also here, I don't understand the numbers... like to say 2 and then 6000?

What is "initial edge"?

What is "final hone"?

0:21"it also has two grit belts, these are to put the initial edge on your blade so really just to shape it, and then we have 2 6 thousand grit belts these are for putting the final hone on your blade."

Put an edge on a knife - a dull knife has no (sharp) edge. It cannot cut anything.

A knife with an initial edge is a little sharper, but not as sharp as possible.

Honing is polishing the edge of the knife blad
