Thought I'd start off with a grammar issue thats bothering me.
If a company is selling cards for birthdays etc, are they selling greetings cards or greeting cards.

Hi, When a noun is used to modify another noun, it is commonly in the singular form. eg This factory makes car doors ( not cars doors). So, 'greeting card ' is the usual expression.

thanks Clive
so by that extension, socks drawer should be sock drawer?

My thought on it was, that if there is only one greeting per card, it should be greeting cards.

Looking at online retailers, they often have it as greetings cards......, doesnt mean they are right of course!
