Like I have said on the post's title, I would be very appreciated if somebody could check my IELTS Writing Task 2 below.
Topic: Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this become a positive or negative development?
The advance of technology has revolutionized various aspects of our daily life, including how we interact with each other. There are some factors that can contribute to this development.
First of all, thank to technological innovations, communication can be made regardless of geographic distance. Unlike traditional means of communication, which take a long time to transfer information between locations, electrical methods such as telephone and the internet can accomplish this in an instant. Therefore, they can connect people with acquaintances from far away, or even allow them to make friend with foreigners.
Another contributing element is the simplicity of modern technology. Anyone can share anything from their personal lives to the internet at any time, with great ease. In general, people will tend to show the best of them on social media, and the ones with the most compelling stories can attract a large number of followers, making them famous not just online, but also in real life.
These factors can have a variety of effects on society. On the positive side, it is undeniable that technology has brought everyone closer together, so much that some even consider the world today a "global village". However, the drawbacks are also visible. There is no editor to scrutinize the information, so the reliability of them may vary greatly. Addiction to virtual interactions is another rising issue, mainly because it is easier to exploit modern technology than to have a face-to-face conversation.
In conclusion, technology development has changed human interaction completely, and thus it is important to be aware of the pros and cons to benefit the most from such innovation.
