Greeting

Dear Group,

Are both of these greetings correct?

1. How's things?

2. How're things?

Appreciate if someone would comment, thank you.

I wouldn't use either one as the very first thing I said to someone. That is, I don't consider either one a greeting. ".

I wouldn't use either one as the very first thing I said to someone. That is, I don't consider either one a greeting. After a greeting, however, I might say "How are things?".
"How's things" would be very informal but possible (although note that it's grammatically incorrect).
