Greenwich Meridian Time is indeed the time as measured at the zero line of longitude (in London)
However, Mean Time refers to a calculation of the time based on the supposition that the sun is moving uniformly around the solar equator
In the latter sense, ‘Mean’ means average: we are reporting the time as if the sun move
