green line of the trees of a distant Island on horizon

Hello,

I am trying to describe a sailor's view of distant island (you could make out the trees, palm trees.. though) while still on the boat. But I just could not recall a word to describe this green (tree) line . By green-tree-line I am referring to the green line of the island when you divide it into the sand line (white colour) and tree line (green colour). I hope you guys understood the question....

Thanks for helping.

Sometimes there is no exact word for a certain effect. Consider using a simile or a phrase of metaphoric language to describe it rather than finding just a word.
