0 Nirvana, Blur, Oasis, and Depeche Mode too. My vote goes to Nirvana – no surprises from me. I wonder how a 3-piece band got that full sound and power. I can’t resist mentioning my other favourite 3-piece ensemble, the Police (but from a different decade of course). 02br

Definately Oasis. They win by any measure. Fastest selling album, most record sales, biggest concert in European history, influenced tons of other bands. They are the greatest band since the Beatles.
