"great help"?

probelm Sentence: Thank you very much for your great help.

I don't feel that the word "great" fits here but I am not sure why.

Is this sentence okay with "great" or is breaking a grammar rule?

Thank you

Same here. I think it's just that we don't hear it said that way as often. You have been a great help seems the more usual way of using great help.

CJ

You sometimes hear "Well, you're a great help!", to mean exactly the opposite.
