Great Gatsby Thesis

Hello, I got this thesis i made by myself here it is "In the novel The Great Gatsby, author Fitzgerald depicts two characters ,Gatsby and Tom, with similarities and differences; and that Daisy choose Tom, even with all the negative light and being physically menacing to his wife, because she is materialistic."
The question is "Compare and Contrast Gatsby and Tom. How are they alike? How are they different? Given the extremely negative light in which tom is portrayed throughout the novel, why might Daisy choose to remain with him instead of leaving him for Gatsby?" I would like to know if my Thesis awnsered the question and if i should reword it any. Any help would be appreciated.
