Dear forum, I`d like to ask again the great teachers on this site to help me by maybe giving suggestions and maybe checking what I could work on in the future. Here is the Task itself: The pie charts below show how dangerous waste products are dealt with in three countries. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and male comparisons where relevant.
And the discription itself: The pie charts show how dangerous waste products are dealt with in three given countries: Republic of Korea, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
The first graph shows that the Republic of Korea recycles up to two thirds of its dangerous waste, incinerates less than 10 per cent and buries underground approximately 20 per cent. The graph also shows the level of development and the efficiency of the Korean recycling programme. Such care for the nature is rarely present in a post-industrial economy. The second graph represents the ways in which Sweden deals with its waste. And unlike in Korea they recycle only a quarter of their waste. They mostly deal with pollutants by burying half of them underground and then by incinerating the rest. This means that Sweden is still in the process of implementing the necessary policies that would help them catch up to the Koreans.
The last graph represents the most polluted nation according to the given data. The UK does not recycle at all and does almost nothing to reduce the vile effects of human activity on nature. More than 80 per cent of waste is buried and the rest is either chemically treated or dumped at sea and only two per cent of waste is incinerated.
Overall, it must be noted that what is being done in these countries is not enough to give the humanity a sustainable future, we must strive for a 100 per cent recycling rate, as much as possible.
