Grant in noun form

Hi

"I am contacting you regarding my recent ('to be granted' in the form of a noun) citizenship."

How would you express 'being granted citizenship' in noun form? (for example "..my being granted citizenship"?)

Thanks

'conferral of citizenship' is a possibility. I don't know if that's the correct legal term.

On the other hand, I don't know why you have to have a noun, or why the word 'grant' has to be used.

I am contacting you with regard to my having recently become a citizen.
