Grand Master(Title of a chess book)

Hi.
Any difference between "grand master"(with space) and "grandmaster"(without space)?

The front-cover of the book reads

Yasser Seirawan
International Grand Master
as can be seen on http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1857443314/ref=s9_simh_gw_p14_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1MCWMR9BC28GYEDAW273&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200382&pf_rd_i=507846

I believe the official title today is Grandmaster (without adding 'International', which is a more old-fashioned form).

Some one told me it makes the title more impressive. Why do you say 'IGM' is more old-fashioned'?

Being a Grandmaster is impressive. You really can't get more impressive unless you are World Champion.
