Grammer/ Spelling question

Could someone please explain to me whether I need to use a comma after 'Therefore'. I'm not sure. If I had to choose I wouldn't put a comma there, it's not really a pause. Furthermore, is it 'GDP' or 'GDPs'?

"Therefore comparisons of GDPs between nations are best made using Purchasing Power Parity (PPP)."

S. Some programs tell me that GDP is better, but I prefer GDPs, since you are comparing multiple GDP values.

I'd use the comma, but it's a matter of style there, not really grammar. I'd pause.

And I agree with you on GDPs.
