Grammer questions

What is the correct word for this- how could/can I describe shabbat dinner?

Should I use dance around the rabie or were dancing?

Is this sentence correct?
But I remember this one thing he told us over and over again and I'll never forget this for the rest of my life

Thanks

He looked at me and said: "After the camps do you really think we can still remember?

And how could/can I describe Shabbat dinner? We danced around the Rabie, all the children.

But I remember this one thing he told us over and over again and I'll never forget this for the rest of my life: "children my dear sweet, children ", he whispered to me out of the fire and kept saying:

"The greatest thing in this world is to do good to someone else!"
