Grammer Question

we generally use "used to" to explain past habit. Is it possible to use "would" instead of this.

"I have been working during the whole day" is it possible? or I have been working throught the day?

We use "of" in case of inanimate thing like "roof of the building" and " 's" in case of living being like--'father's name'. can we use "name of the father"?
