Grammer Question

I read a translated book and I translate one of it's sentences back. Tell me please if I done good :


People say: "How can you live without knowing?!". I don't know what are they meaning. I
always live without knowing. It's easy. How knowing - that's what I want to know.

Richard P. Feynman? Is it something about the Quantum Mechanics? If so, this's a theory which deals with very very small particles and he meant to say "how can you live if you don't know such fundamental things which are all around us..." or something. Did I hit?
