1. I would like to know the difference between : "I remember they would always paint the room"/ "I remember she painted her room".

2. He quit the team. Can I say , "of course he would quit! " as an attempt to emphasis the fact that he quit the team?

3.which is the correct? "I was teaching for 2 hours staight" / "I taught for 2 hours straight".

4. Which of the following ia the correct uae?

he quit the team because he (had been/has been/was) benched to many times?

1a. I remember (that) they would always paint the room.

'would always' implies that they used to paint the room again and again. That doesn't seem like a reasonable thing to do, but that's what the sentence says. To make it more sensible you need to add more information.

I remember that they would always paint the room blue.
(When they painted it, they painted it blue.)

1b. I remember (that) she painted her room.

As it stands it means that she painted her room once, and you remember that.

2. Yes, you can say "Of course, he would quit" for emphasis. More importantly, it shows that you thought that he was just the kind of person who quits, and you are not surprised that he quit because you almost expected that he would do that.

3. "I was teaching for two hours straight" / "I taught for two hours straight"

Both are technically correct, but the first one is a little strange. The progressive form (was teaching) suggests that the time period is open, that there is no definite beginning or end to the period in which you were teaching. In contradiction to that you have "two hours", which does have a definite beginning and ending.

4. He quit the team because he (had been/~~has been~~/was) benched too many times.

You can't use 'has been' because this sentence is in the past tense. The other two are OK.

I was writing too fast yesterday ,and it resulted with all those typos. I would also like to apply that English is not my first language, and so I deal with all these kinds of grammer problems here and there. My apologies.

Just one last question, would it be OK if I said : of course he would quit , they would bench him too often.

B.I would like to understand the difference between "he quit because he had been benched too often" and he quit because he was benched too often".

C.i would that be correct to say "he quit because they would bench him too often"
