I am not sure what they mean by "digital memories." I think of a USB drive or memory stick which provides extra storage for a camera or computer. It is out of place in that sentence.

Grammatically, only ( E) fits the sentence. e.g.


A good photographer can do more than simply capture images. They can document an event for the future.
