hi i have a question thanks for your help in advanced.
when i say we haven`t seen each other for 3 years it means already we don`t see each other ,but when i say we didn`t see each other for 3 years it means after thease years we can see each other. is it right or not? thankyou.

Thanks for your help,but I did not get my answer yet,I confess that I cant explain it clearly

but I don`t know really how can I description it.I haven`t practiced English almost for 2 years and I forget a lot of things I hope with this forum I can improve my skill.

This suggests that you have recently seen each other or will soon see each other. (It also depends on whether you are writing this sentence in a letter or actually speaking to the other person.)

ghazalghazal We didn't see each other for 3 years.

This means that did see that person sometime after those 3 years.
