If i say1) i want to join an Army, is it a correct statement?Or i want to join Army.

2)An Army is a good carrier option.Or Army is a good carrier option.

Please give reasons to support your answer.

Or i want to join Army. The correct article is "the" Army, the Air Force and the Navy etc. Just like the FBI, the IRS.

The correct article is "the" Army, the Air Force and the Navy etc. Just like the FBI, the IRS. Almost all government agencies do have "the" in fornt of them.
