I don't have any examples now.but my whole concern is how to use them in any sentence in general.

In usually means being inside of or involved in, e.g.,

I'm in the kitchen. I'm involved in a study group. (For the latter you could correctly say, "I'm in a study group.)

On usually means actually physically being "on" something (as opposed to inside it), or serving a role on something. Examples are:

I am on the sidewalk in front of your house.
