GRAMMER

Does this sentance make sense?

Cats have enslaved us.

Top answer

It is grammatically correct and makes sense. It could describe a bizarre fantasy scenario in which cats have become mankind's masters, or the people referred to by "us" might be unhealthily obsessive about cats to the point where the animals have come to dominate their lives.

Hi,

The cat owner goes to work everyday, while the cat naps and eats.

Yes, I guess it could also be meant light-heartedly.

When some friends of mine were going to sterilize their tomcat for some

incomprehensible reason I warned them that they will get into big troubles
if afterwards cats seize the power on Earth an enslave all humanity, implying
the possibility of cat's revenge.

Though, I'm sure in 99.99% of cases the second Mr.Wordy's or Clive's
explanations will work.

P.S. "GR
