I get to school on foot./ I walk to school.

Hi,

'On foot' is more common than 'by foot'.

But much more common than either is to use the verb 'walk'.

eg I walk to work every morning rather than I go to work on foot every morning.

Best wishes, Clive

I was taught in school that by foot is the right one.

Well is it correct to say:

I go to work on train?/on plane?/on underground...

What I want to know: Does this preposition always fits when talking about means of traffic ?

Greetings

Here are some things we say.

I go to work on the train / by train.

I go to work in a plane / by plane.

I go to work on the underground / on the subway.

I go to work
