First I will tell you something about What Pro wrestling is
After that I tell you the history of the biggest promotion the WWE
Thirdly I´m going to answer the question if wrestling in Fake or Real
And in my last point I’m going to tell you why I have chosen this topic and the acceptance of wrestling in Germany.

Wrestling is More or less a Sport It’s a mixture of show and sport, because of that it’s called sports entertainment it’s an athletic form of fictional entertainment. A pro wrestling match can include forms of mixed Marshall Arts, grappling, catch wrestling. A Pro wrestler is not about winning match he’s about to entertain the crowd and the fans all over the world with storylines and the character he plays

Everything started when Roderick James McMahon promoted wrestling shows in the Municipal Stadium. His son Vince McMahon senior promotes shows under the name of Capitol Wrestling Federation in 1953. 1961 he changed the name to Capitol Wrestling Corporation. The short form is CWC. Because of problems with the NWA champion Buddy Rogers, who had a contract with the CWC, the CWC left the umbrella organization NWA. Buddy Rogers should pay 25000 dollars, because he only defended his title in North West America and not in the whole world. After leaving the NWA the Promotion gets a new name. World Wide Wrestling Federation. Or short: WWWF. In March 1979 the promotion changed his name to World Wrestling Federation and became to the biggest promotion in America, by buying small regional leagues. 1980 bought the son of Vince McMahon senior. The wwf. Vincent Kennedy McMahon realized that wrestling entertainment is. So he began to broadcast shows in the whole world. Since than the wwf was the biggest promotion in the world. After losing a lawsuit against a nature organization with the short form wwf the promotion changed his name in 2002 to World wrestling entertainment.

Is wrestling fake? That’s a difficult question, because both is right. A sentence I heard while I saw a documentary about wrestling is: The action is fake but the pain is real. That means that every move does hurt someone, often it’s the guy who performs the move. . The winner is clear before the match starts. And some spots are also planned. But the most moves that are performed in the ring aren’t planed before. The wrestler speak to each other while they had their match and say what they do next. A Pro-wrestler has to go to the gym every day and train hard or he has to go the performance center and practice some moves or learn some new moves. What’s fake on wrestling is the storylines. That’s like script for a movie and the reason for a match. Also the Wrestlers play a character. He could play a bad guy and outside of the WWE he´s a great and funny guy. The Rivalries are fake. The wrestler who say they are the biggest enemies in the show are often good or even best friends.

I have chosen this topic because I’m a big fan for years now. And when I tell someone that I’m a wrestling fan, I often get ridiculed. And later they say I also watch wrestling when I was younger. So I think wrestling in not very accepted in Germany. Maybe that´s the reason why there’s only a few wrestling schools in Germany. For example the next school from me is near to Nürnberg. In America are wrestling schools in ever town.
