1. I finished it in the morning
2. I finished it on the morning
3. I finished it on this morning
4. I finished it in this morning
5. I finished it this afternoon
6. I finished it in the afternoon
7. I finished it this evening
8. I finished it in the evening.
9. I finished it on this day

Only 8 is grammatical as it's the only one which has a full stop at the end. Assuming they are all meant to be complete sentences with full stops, 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are correct. Rover
