Grammaticall issue

I had seen in my exam a question that i couldn't answer it.
Please help me.
What is the difference between "which" and "at which"?
Q: The temperture ------ take place vary wildly for different mateials.
1) which they melt and freeze
2) which melting and freezing
3) at which melting and freezing
4) at which they melt and freez

The melting/freezing temperature is like a "place" at which, when reached, melting/freezing occur.
Like reaching a place, you use "at".

"We're in the train and we've just arrived at Edinburgh" (from outside).
