Grammatical mistakes?

Are there any grammar issues in this sentence?

For several years this cake has been a popular delicacy for treating yourself and a great present for the close ones.

Thanks In my opinion, this sentence has that odd tone to it, and there are a couple of issues. You need a a comma after "several years", and I assumed " this cake " must be a tasty creation of a bake shop. But the main issue seems to be the underlined.
