Hi, 

Could you please go through the following sentences for any grammatical mistakes? 

1). He is one of the friends of David's brother. 
2). He is a friend of David's brother.

3). How (or should I say 'what'?) do you look like when you are angry? 
4). How do I look to you? (I want to ask how you would describe me as.)

5). You have a close resemblance to your mother. 

6). You resemble to your mother. (Is "to" wrong here, please?)

How about #1, 2, and 4? Of  #4, is it a correct sentence and does it convey the idea given in the bracket, please?

Also, would there be any difference in the meaning of these, please?

Hi, Laborious. I, as a non-native speaker, see no problem with #1, #2. However I'd leave out the "to you" part in the fourth sentence. It appears to be unnecessary.

Here's what I would say:

1) He is one of David's brother's friends.
2) He is a friend of David's brother. (some might insist that you add an 's to "brother" -- I wouldn't)

3) What do you look like when you are angry?
4) How do I look to you?

5) You bear a close resemblance to your mother.
6) You resemble your mother.
