Dear all,
I would like to know whether "has" can be used in the following sentence
"It is with immense pleasure and pride that I report that David John, our student has won the first rank in MA English Language and Literature in the exams held in February 27".
Thanks in advance
cat navy 425 It is with immense pleasure and pride that I report that David John, our student , has won the first rank in MA English Language and Literature in the exams held in February 27. The use of 'has' (underlined above) is fine. There is no problem with that.
