Grammatical correctness

Which is correct ?-

I hear dreams singing or I hear dreams sing

In CNN's reporting of Jacob Zuma's marriage , the narration goes....
" Zuma's first wife, Sizakele Khumalo, was among those in attendance Monday to see her husband, 68 this year, marry 37-year-old Madiba"

Here also I have a doubt- Isn't marrying more correct?

"Marry" is fine, since she (presumably) witnessed the entire marriage ceremony.

Compare: I saw him cross the street and I saw him crossing the street.

With the first one, you saw him from beginning to end. With the second one, you saw at least a part of the action of crossing - you may not have seen him reach the other side, for example, because your view was blocked.
